Betting Glossary

New to online betting or just brushing up? Here are the key terms every966win player should know.

Asian Handicap

A form of football (soccer) betting that eliminates the draw outcome by giving a virtual goal advantage or disadvantage to one side. Very popular among Malaysian bettors due to its roots in Asian football markets.

Over-Under (Totals)

A bet on whether the total combined score of a match will be over or under a specified number set by the bookmaker. Applies to football goals, basketball points, UFC rounds, and more.

Odds Formats

Betting odds can be displayed as Decimal (e.g., 2.50), Fractional (e.g., 3/2), or American (e.g., +150). Malaysian odds often default to Decimal format for clarity.

RTP (Return to Player)

The percentage of total wagered money a slot or game pays back to players over time. A96% RTP means for every RM100 bet, RM96 is returned on average. Higher is generally better.

House Edge

The mathematical advantage a casino has over players on any given game. Baccarat typically has a house edge under 1.5%, making it one of the most player-friendly live casino options.

Wagering Requirement

Also called rollover. A bonus wagering requirement of 20x onRM100 means you must wager RM2,000 before withdrawing bonus-derived winings. Always read the terms before claiming any bonus.

Live Dealer Casino

Casino games streamed in real time with a human dealer operating the cards, wheel, or dice. Combines the authenticity of a land-based casino with the convenience of playing from anywhere in Malaysia.

Slot Volatility

Describes how a slot pays out. High volatility = large wins, but infrequent. Low volatility = smaller wins, but more often. Medium volatility balances both. Choose based on your risk tolerance and bankroll.

Progressive Jackpot

A jackpot that grows with each bet placed across all players on the network. Some progressive slots have paid out jackpots exceding MYR 1 million. The prize resets after someone wins.

Cashback

A rebate on net losses over a defined period. If you lose RM500 in a week and your cashback rate is 10%, you receive RM50 back. It softens losing sessions and rewards consistent play.

In-Play / Live Betting

Placing bets on a match or event while it is actively happening. Odds shift in real time based on match events. Fast, dynamic, and particularly popular for EPL and Liga Super Malaysia matches.

Accumulator (Parlay)

A single bet linking multiple selections. All picks must win for the bet to pay out. Higher risk than single bets, but potential returns can be significantly multiplied โ€” even from small stakes like RM10.

Security & Trust

Your safety is built into every layer of 966win's platform.

256-bit SSL

All data encrypted in transit with bank-grade SSL/TLS protocols.

International Licensing & Player Protection
Regulatory Framework

966win operates under an international online gaming licence issued by an offshore regulatory authority (such as Curaรงao or Malta-based licensing jurisdictions). This licence requires the platform to maintain fair gaming standards, segregate player funds, implement responsible gambling tools, and submit to periodic compliance reviews.

Online gambling is not regulated by Malaysian government authorities โ€” there is no Malaysian government licence for online casinos. Malaysian players who choose to access internationally licensed platforms do so under the terms of their own jurisdiction.

Note for Malaysian Users: You are responsible for understanding the laws and regulations relating to online gambling in Malaysia. 966win encourages all players to gamble responsibly and within their personal means. Visit our Responsible Gambling page for more information.
Independent RNG Testing

All casino games use independently certified RNG technology to ensure truly random and fair outcomes for every player.

Segregated Player Funds

Your deposits are held in dedicated player accounts, completely separate from the company's operational funds.

21+ Age Enforcement

Strict age verification at registration. 966win does not accept players under 21 years old, in line with international gambling standards.
